BUSINESS REPAIRS

Repairs that keep your business moving.

Work phones and tablets need to be reliable. DSR provides straightforward device repairs for local businesses, with clear approval, careful handling and practical collection options.

One work device or several.

You do not need a large device fleet to use DSR.

Whether it is one work phone that needs getting back into service or several devices that need attention, we can discuss the repair, parts options and practical arrangements before anything proceeds.

DSR works with local businesses and organisations that want a straightforward repair service and a direct point of contact.

Straightforward from the start.

Clear approval

You will know what has been agreed before parts are ordered. If the repair needs to change, we will explain why and get approval before carrying out additional work.

Suitable parts, clearly explained

DSR recommends the part option that makes sense for the device, repair and how the device is used.

Where a genuine or original option is available and worth considering, we’ll explain it. Where another option is more suitable, we’ll explain that too before anything is ordered.

Parts Quality

Clear paperwork

Quotes and invoices are itemised so it is clear which device was repaired, what work was carried out and what was charged.

A direct point of contact

DSR is an independent repair business. You deal directly with the person handling the repair rather than being passed through a call centre.

Practical collection options

Local collection and return can be arranged across North Dorset, and postal repairs can also be organised when that is more practical.

Work devices can hold sensitive information.

A work phone or tablet can contain customer information, emails, messages, accounts and other business data. DSR keeps device access limited to what is needed for the repair and testing.

Passcodes are not stored

DSR does not keep device passcodes as part of the repair record.

Access for testing

Temporary device access may be needed before or after repair to test, calibrate or confirm the relevant functions.

Repair mode where available

Where supported, repair or maintenance mode can be used to limit access while still allowing appropriate testing.

Custom requirements

If your business has its own device-handling or security requirements, tell DSR before the device is handed over so we can confirm whether they can be accommodated.

If access is not provided, some checks may not be possible and the relevant functions may need to be tested by the customer when the device is returned.

Back up important data where possible.

Businesses should keep appropriate backups of important device data before a repair wherever possible.

DSR repairs the device hardware; a repair should not be treated as a substitute for a business backup process.

The right part matters on a work device.

A work device may be used every day, so part choice can matter just as much as repair price.

Where available and appropriate, DSR may recommend:

  • brand-new genuine parts
  • Pulled Grade A original parts
  • refurbished original parts
  • carefully selected aftermarket parts

We will explain the realistic options for the device rather than defaulting to the cheapest available part.

Where we believe an original option is worth the extra cost, we will say so. Where a good-quality aftermarket part is the sensible choice, we will explain that too.

Several repairs can still stay simple.

If more than one business device needs attention, send us the device models and a short description of each fault.

We can work through the repairs clearly and keep the paperwork itemised so each device and repair can be identified.

For larger batches, contact DSR before sending or bringing devices in so parts availability and timings can be discussed first.

A repair service you can come back to.

You do not need a service contract to use DSR for repeat repairs. If another work device develops a fault, you can simply contact us again and we’ll work through the repair in the same straightforward way.

DSR keeps the process straightforward: identify the device, agree the repair and parts, arrange the work and provide clear paperwork.

From enquiry to return.

  1. Tell us what you haveSend the device model, fault or symptoms and how many devices need attention.
  2. Review the optionsWe will explain the realistic repair and parts options, along with the agreed price.
  3. Parts are orderedParts are ordered specifically for the agreed repair. The parts payment is taken before parts are ordered.
  4. Repair and testThe agreed repair is carried out and the relevant functions are tested before the device is returned.
  5. Return and paperworkThe device is collected, returned or sent back as arranged, with the remaining agreed balance due and itemised paperwork provided.

Clear payment stages.

DSR normally takes the agreed parts payment before ordering the repair parts. The remaining agreed fitting or repair balance is due when the completed device is returned or collected.

Workshop, collection or post.

Workshop

Business devices can be brought to the DSR workshop by appointment.

DSR operates from a home-based workshop in Okeford Fitzpaine.

Collection & drop-off

Local collection and return can be arranged across North Dorset for an additional fee.

For several devices, discuss the collection arrangements with DSR first.

Postal repairs

Business devices can also be sent by post where appropriate.

Contact DSR before sending anything so the repair, return details and practical arrangements can be confirmed first.

Realistic timings, clearly explained.

We know a work device being unavailable can cause disruption.

Repair timing depends on the device, fault, parts availability and the work required. DSR will give you a realistic expectation once the repair and parts are understood.

90-day repair warranty

DSR provides a 90-day warranty beginning on the date the repaired device is returned to the customer.

The warranty applies only to the specific repair carried out by DSR and the replacement part fitted by DSR as part of that repair.

It does not cover new physical or accidental damage, liquid damage, misuse, software-related issues, unrelated faults, failure of other components, or damage caused by subsequent repair attempts, modification, disassembly or work carried out by another repair provider.
