Replacement-part quality varies considerably. Where more than one option is available, we’ll explain the differences before anything is ordered.
A quality aftermarket part can make sense for some repairs, while genuine or original-quality parts may be the better choice for others. We’ll explain the options and recommend what makes sense for the device.

Before your repair
Parts ordered for you
Parts are ordered specifically for each repair rather than held in stock. Once you approve the repair, the required part is ordered for your device.
Parts payment
The parts cost is paid when the order is placed. The remaining fitting charge is due once the repair is completed.
Appointment
Once the part is ready, we’ll arrange a convenient repair appointment with everything ready to go on the day.
Repair time
Most straightforward phone repairs are completed in around 30–60 minutes, depending on the device and repair.
CLEAR APPROVAL
If the repair needs to change
If a repair needs to go beyond what was originally agreed, we’ll explain why and get your approval before any additional work is carried out.
SPECIALIST WORK
Some repairs need a different approach
Some faults require specialist equipment or board-level work that isn’t carried out in the DSR workshop.
Where specialist work may be suitable, we’ll obtain the specialist price first and explain the options. Nothing proceeds without your approval.
Some fragile foldable-device inner-screen repairs are not currently offered.

Workshop
Repairs are available by appointment from our home-based workshop in Okeford Fitzpaine.
Collection & drop-off
Local collection and return can be arranged across North Dorset for an additional fee.
Postal repairs
You can also send your phone to DSR by post. Contact us before sending anything so the repair and delivery details can be arranged first.
